Before You Start
Check that you meet the conditions for the class level you are applying for. You need the right qualification, a teacher training degree (D.El.Ed or B.Ed) and a pass in the right eligibility test: CTET or Bihar TET for Class 1–8, and Bihar STET for Class 9–12. Read our BPSC TRE eligibility page if you are unsure.
Keep these ready before you open the portal:
- A working mobile number and email ID (OTPs are sent to both)
- Your Aadhaar number
- Scanned copies of your certificates as PDF files
- A recent passport-size photo and your signature
- A debit card, credit card or net banking for the fee
How to Apply for BPSC TRE 4.0: Step by Step
Step 1: Complete One Time Registration (OTR)
Go to bpsconline.bihar.gov.in and click New User Registration. Enter your name, father’s and mother’s names, date of birth, gender, Aadhaar number, mobile number and email. Verify both with the OTPs and set a password. OTR is free.
OTR is compulsory for TRE 4.0, even if you had an account on BPSC’s older portal. Create only one OTR account. Your name, date of birth, parents’ names, gender and Aadhaar cannot be edited later, so enter them exactly as on your Class 10 certificate.
Step 2: Link DigiLocker and complete your profile
Log in and link your DigiLocker account. Then fill in the profile sections: personal details, address, other information, qualifications, experience, and photo and signature. Once everything is correct, lock the profile.
Step 3: Select the advertisement and fill the form
Choose Advertisement No. 15/2026 (TRE 4.0). Select the class level and subject you are applying for, and enter your CTET, Bihar TET or Bihar STET details. Fill in your category and reservation details carefully.
Step 4: Upload documents, photo and signature
Upload your documents as PDFs in the size the portal allows. Upload a clear, recent photo and your signature exactly as the portal asks. Check every file opens correctly before moving on.
Step 5: Pay the fee
Pay online with a debit card, credit card or net banking. The fee deadline is 2 November 2026, one day before the application deadline. Do not leave payment to the last hour, because bank and server delays are common near the deadline.
Step 6: Submit and print
Preview the whole form, check every entry, and submit. Download the confirmation page and payment receipt, and keep a printed copy. You may need it for the admit card and document verification.
BPSC TRE 4.0 Application Fee
| Fee | Amount |
| Examination fee | ₹100 |
| Biometric fee | ₹200 (see note below) |
| Payment mode | Online only: debit card, credit card, net banking |
Sources differ on whether the biometric fee is waived when you give your Aadhaar number. The portal shows the exact amount for your form, so pay what it shows and check the notification if in doubt.
Documents You Need
- Class 10 certificate and marksheet (for date of birth)
- Class 12, graduation and post-graduation certificates and marksheets, as needed for your level
- D.El.Ed or B.Ed certificate
- CTET, Bihar TET or Bihar STET pass certificate
- Caste, EWS and domicile certificates, if applicable
- Disability certificate, if applicable
- Aadhaar card
- NOC from your employer, if you are in government service

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Making two OTR accounts. This is not allowed and can get your application cancelled.
- Wrong name or date of birth. These fields are locked after OTR. Match them to your Class 10 certificate.
- Wrong class level or subject. Check that your degree and eligibility test match the post you pick.
- Blurred photo or signature. Upload clear, recent scans.
- Paying on the last day. Payments can fail near the deadline. Pay by 2 November at the latest.
- Not saving the final copy. Always download and print the submitted form and receipt.
