Best Test Series for BPSC 72nd Prelims 2026: 5 Options Compared

The BPSC 72nd CCE Prelims has been postponed twice, and BPSC has not announced a new date yet. That extra time is best used on timed mock tests. The question is which test series to trust. This guide compares five options for the 72nd Prelims on the number and type of tests, Bihar coverage, Hindi support and price.

Full disclosure: ExamYaari is our app. We have tried to be fair to every option, including where others offer more than we do. Test counts and prices below are as listed on each platform’s website on 1 November 2026. They change often, so check before you pay.

What Makes a Good BPSC Prelims Test Series

  • The real pattern. The 72nd Prelims is one General Studies paper of 150 questions and 150 marks in 2 hours, with 1/3 mark deducted for each wrong answer. Full-length mocks should match this exactly.
  • Enough Bihar questions. Bihar history, geography, economy and the Bihar movement in the freedom struggle are asked every year. A series built for UPSC or other states will not cover this well.
  • Current affairs tests. With the exam pushed back, the current affairs window is longer. Look for regular current affairs tests, including Bihar news.
  • Previous year papers. Past BPSC papers in mock format help you see how BPSC frames questions.
  • Good solutions and analysis. A mock only helps if you learn from it. Detailed solutions and topic-wise analysis matter more than the number of tests.
  • Hindi and English. Both should be properly translated, not machine translated.

1. ExamYaari (Free + ₹29/month Premium)

ExamYaari has free timed BPSC mock tests and daily current affairs. ExamYaari Premium, at ₹29 a month (less than ₹1 a day), adds PYQ practice and AI analytics that show the subjects where you are losing marks. There are no ads.

Good for: aspirants who want regular timed practice for free or at very low cost, or a cheap second source alongside a paid series.

Keep in mind: paid series such as Testbook offer far more tests in total. ExamYaari is about steady daily practice, not the largest test count.

2. Testbook

Testbook’s 72nd BPSC Prelims series is the largest on this list, with 283 tests. Apart from 10 full-length tests, it has 131 chapter tests, 26 Bihar-specific tests, 43 NCERT-based tests, 35 current affairs tests, 22 subject tests and 16 previous year papers. Two tests are free.

Good for: aspirants who want to test chapter by chapter while studying, not just at the end.

Keep in mind: the series is part of Testbook Pass, which covers many other exams. Do not let the large number of tests distract you. Finishing 30 tests properly beats starting 200.

3. Drishti IAS

Drishti’s 72nd BPSC Prelims test series comes in several packages, from a short 5-test NCERT package to a 45-test package with 8 NCERT, 20 sectional and 17 full-length tests. There is also a 10-test full-syllabus package and an 8-test intense revision package. Tests are online on the Drishti Learning App and offline at Drishti centres, in Hindi and English, with detailed explanations.

Good for: Hindi medium aspirants and those who prefer writing tests offline in an exam-like setting.

Keep in mind: the series runs on a fixed schedule. Check which package suits the time left before the new exam date.

4. PW (Physics Wallah)

PW lists two Prelims options for the 72nd: a 10 full-length test series (listed at ₹499) and the DISHA series with 30 sectional and 10 full-length tests (listed at ₹1,899). Both are in Hindi and English with detailed solutions. PW also has a 72nd Mains test series.

Good for: aspirants who want a clear, low-cost set of full-length tests.

Keep in mind: the cheaper series has only full-length tests, so you will need another source for topic-wise practice.

5. Adda247

Adda247’s 72nd BPSC CCE Prelims series has 34 tests, including full-length mocks of 150 questions in 2 hours, sectional tests and previous year papers, in Hindi and English. Two tests are free, and you get an All-India rank after each test.

Good for: aspirants who want to see how they compare with a large number of other students.

Keep in mind: check the plan length (monthly or yearly) before you subscribe, since the exam date is not fixed yet.

Which Test Series Should You Choose?

  • Zero or very low budget: ExamYaari’s free mocks (or Premium at ₹29 a month for PYQs and analytics), plus the free tests on Testbook and Adda247.
  • You want topic-wise tests while studying: Testbook, for its chapter and Bihar-specific tests.
  • Hindi medium, or you prefer offline tests: Drishti IAS.
  • You only need full-length mocks at low cost: PW’s 10-test series.

Buy one paid series at most. Fewer tests, analysed properly, beat many tests taken in a hurry.

How Many Mocks Should You Take for BPSC 72nd Prelims?

  1. Start with previous year papers. Solve the last few BPSC Prelims papers in exam conditions to set your baseline.
  2. Take sectional tests while you study. One test after each subject or major topic.
  3. Move to full-length mocks. One a week at first, then two to three a week in the last six weeks before the exam.
  4. Practise for negative marking. Each wrong answer costs 1/3 mark. Track how many of your guesses are right. If you get fewer than one in four right, guess less.
  5. Analyse every mock. Spend as long reviewing as you spent on the test. Note each wrong answer and revise that topic before your next mock.
